Cindy Crawford on Being 50: I'm Happy to be Aging Gracefully

Cindy Crawford is a household name, not only in the modeling world but almost everyone around the world knows who this lady is. Like any other woman, she is also a mother and a wife. Adding that to her already very impressive life and career line, now she came up with her latest project, which is her book called Becoming. A lot of people may wonder how she keeps her figure and face looking so young. We can say that she is indeed aging gracefully. However, do you know that in February she will be turning the big 5-0? An article in Indian Express said that she is happy to turn 50 and that indeed she is aging gracefully.

Crawford was asked about her daughter, Kaia Gerber who is 14 years old break into the modeling industry at such a young age, she said that she wishes it was easy as a mother to see this happening to your daughter. She said that because of this maturing became bittersweet. She added "I always tease my daughter - who everyone agrees, is a mini-me - and say 'You have my old hair - I want it back!' or, 'You have my old legs - I want them back. She just giggles and says 'It's my turn now.' " Kaia landed a contract with IMG models at only 13 earlier this year. She has even modeled for famed photographer Steven Meisel in the pages of Vogue Italia.

She was asked whether she there are some people she looks up to in particular. She said that she admires celebrities like Helen Mirren and Jane Fonda. These women look amazing at their age and they never try to look young. She pointed out that she doesn't want to try to look 30 when she is not. Neither does she want to be compared to her 14-year-old daughter because she knows she would lose.

The star isn't done posing for the camera just yet, though. She's even still open to nude shoots! Crawford says she doesn't think beauty has an expiration date and she'll only stop doing nude shoots when people stop asking her to do them. Regardless, Crawford says she sometimes feels like she's lost the sense of her old self, but deals with life changes by focusing on the present.
