People living in this generation are always busy and striking a balance between personal and professional lives can be a challenge for them. For example, planning to go to gym and keeping the body fit and healthy or promising to eat less junk food. Not only this, sometimes even the other important and more enjoyable plans slip through the crack. Technology can have a solution to help people practice how to balance activities each day. An article in Stuff reviewed the top three app that may be the answer to this problem.
First application on the review list is Balanced. This app features suggested activities that users can add to their daily schedules. There is a free version that allows users to create a list of five personal activities or goals like meditate or taking a risk. If you want to add unlimited activities, there is an additional fee. The app also sends you alerts "You should think about doing [whichever activity] soon" to make sure you stay on top of your activities. They also have positive reinforcements like "Kudos" whenever you complete an activity on the list. This app is free for Iphone.
Next, we have Coach.me. This app helps users find friends that are already using this app. They also help the new users find support from others in the same community. By leaving your "check-ins" visible to the community, you can receive "props" for completing certain goals. Taking that level of encouragement one step further, users can also hire a professional coach through the app. This app is free for Iphone, Android and Web.
Lastly we have Verdict. Of the three, the app that would seem to be most effective for me is Coach.me. In my attempts to build a better lifestyle, I derive the most encouragement from knowing I'm not alone in my efforts. And that's not something I'll get from a regular to-do list.
