You'll Never Believe Where John Legend Got Help For Latest Holiday Song 'Under the Stars' with Stella Artois [PHOTOS]

Apparently, John Legend literally has some friends in high places.

The 36-year-old crooner enlisted the help of some unlikely buds for his new song, "Under the Stars," which was exclusively written for Belgian beer Stella Artois.

Stella Artois wanted a song to embrace the holiday spirit and pay homage to the brand's name at the same time. "Stella," when translated into Latin, the word means "star." Upon hearing the magical concept, John Legend couldn't help but say yes.

There's something even more amazing about the unexpected collaboration. Would you believe that the 4-minute track features sound waves made by real stars? John Legend couldn't either.

"I was like 'wow, that sounds incredible,'" John Legend told Mashable at a Stella Artois event in New York City on Wednesday. "I didn't even know that was possible."

While writing "Under the Stars," the Grammy and Oscar winner took inspiration from the classical ideas of the holiday season: "I was just thinking about togetherness, love and peace and us being all connected during the holiday season," shared Legend.

According to Business Insider, John Legend picked only four of the stars' sounds to put into the new track. He explains:

"We [Legend and Teigen] loved the idea of collaboration with the stars. [...] We never knew you could record star sounds and put it on a record, so to do that was exciting. You don't know what 'spacey' is supposed to sound like, but then you hear it, and you're like that's what 'spacey' is supposed to sound like."

John Legend first performed the song live at the event, which is the opening of an interactive light installation in Manhattan called Stars by Stella Artois.
