Erykah Badu Films Her Apology To Iggy Azalea After Calling Her Music 'Definitely Not Rap'

Songstress Erykah Badu made it publicly obvious that she is not a fan of rapper Iggy Azalea after her condescending comments about her during this year's Soul Train Awards. Her monologue during the show mocked Azalea with her script saying that the blonde's music is "definitely not rap" according to The Inquisitr.

This made a lot of fans of both artists upset. Badu wasn't sorry about what she said that day but she changed her attitude about it with a pinch of sarcasm in a video response on her Twitter account.

Azalea also posted on Twitter her thoughts about the said comment made to her and it was obvious that she was upset about it. She told her fans on Twitter, "We are days from 2016, but I came online today and saw its still cool to try and discredit my 2014 accomplishments. LOL, f**king hell. Seems exhausting."

Badu said that she is doing this for her daughters who happen to be fans of the rapper she dissed on the Awards show. At first, it does sound as if she meant to apologize, but later on she wanted her own children to just go live with Azalea since they love her so much. It is quite confusing, but analyzing it, she still said sorry and she's only doing it for the sake of her kids.

The part when it gets a little bit bewildering is when she said that, "But when I think about it, I mean if y'all love her so much, why don't you all go be with her then? Go and be with her, y'all - go on Puma, go on Mars. Is Iggy Azalea gonna miss the healing seminar to go to the school and sit across from the teacher so she can tell you that all y'all been doing is talking to your neighbors and not getting your lesson? Is she? Where's Iggy for that?'"

Azalea was pleased with what the singer did on her video and in return, invited her children to come and see her for a free concert if they keep up having good grades in school.
