"Thank you all so much for your prayers for us as it hasn't been an easy journey. We thank God every day for this wonderful blessing and can't wait to share this journey with all of you." Katherine added.
Katherine and AJ, who plays quarterback for the Cincinnati Bengals, had some difficulty getting pregnant and are overjoyed with their baby news, which they also shared with fans on both of their Twitter pages.
The 2012 Miss Alabama winner and her athlete husband AJ got married in July 2014, the wedding was called extravagant wedding in Orange Beach, Alabama and have been trying to get pregnant for over a year now.
In July, Katherine’s Instagram revealed that their dog had been helping her to cope when she was down.
How sweet! She took to Twitter to reveal how “excited and extremely blessed” they feel to finally be announcing the news.
The photo, which accompanied the announcement, shows an ultrasound and a beaming smile from the couple.
Interestingly enough, the couple keeping their pregnancy a secret for four months means that a "fake" pregnancy announcement that Katherine made in October was actually kind of real!
