Katy Perry just earned herself some pretty amazing bragging rights. The 31-year-old singer was just given the title of world's highest-paid musician of 2015 by Forbes magazine, beating out rival Taylor Swift.
With a whopping $135 million under her belt, Katy crushed Taylor as the biggest money maker in the music world.
The magazine reports that Perry earned a whopping $135 million over the past year and credits most of her earnings to her Prismatic World Tour, estimating that she grossed more than $2 million per city.
But it didn’t come easy. Her work ethic is obvious considering she played 126 shows in the scoring period, where Forbes collects the earnings of each musician.
During 2014-2015, Katy played the most shows out of any artist in the Top 10 during that time.
She also makes plenty of cash from her fashion endorsements, such as her big contracts with Covergirl and Claire's.
Who could forget Katy's killer Super Bowl Halftime performance including that sexy shark.
Not only does Forbes collect the earnings from concerts, but record sales, publishing, endorsements, and other business ventures are in the mix too.
Perry previously shared her July cover of Forbes on Instagram, and made it clear that she's proud of her financial accomplishments.
Touring is clearly the way to make the most money in the music business these days, which is why One Direction gets the number two spot with $130 million, and Garth Brooks takes the number three spot with $90 million.
What shocking is that how far Taylor was behind. The 1989 artist came in 4th place with $80 million for this year.
However, Swift does take the number one spot when it comes to highest-earning couple -- she and her boyfriend, DJ/producer Calvin Harris -- earned a combined $146 million during the time period taken into consideration.
