Ronda Rousey Retire: Former UFC Champion Says She's 'Done' If She Doesn't Win Rematch With Holly Holm

Ronda Rousey is committed to returning to the Octagon for a rematch with Holly Holm. But apparently if that fight doesn't go the former UFC women's bantamweight champion's way, it may mark the end of her career in mixed martial arts.

“I guess it’s all going to be determined by what happens in the rematch,” Ronda told ESPN Magazine in an in depth interview. As Ronda recovers from her first ever loss to Holly, the former undefeated fighter is unsure what will happen if she loses again. “Everything is going to be determined by that. Either I’ll win and keep going or I won’t and I’ll be done with everything.”

Ronda's 34-second defeat of another fighter in August was a sensation on social media. Some thought she was unbeatable until her loss to Holm.

The 28-year-old can't exactly tell what went wrong in the fight, but she knows that Holm caught her with a shot early into the first round and that changed the course of her performance from that moment on.

After her devastating loss, Ronda was suspended from fighting for six months after suffering a blow to the head. Ronda really took a pounding in that fight. When she returned to Los Angeles, she hid her face because it was still badly beaten.

Ronda Rousey's popularity soared along with her undefeated 12-0 record in UFC bouts. She quickly became a sought-after personality in the media and was praised by athletes and public figures alike.

But plenty of Ronda’s haters — from Laila Ali to Donald Trump to even Lady Gaga — would love to see her leave MMA forever. However, Ronda will just use this hate to fuel her comeback, and possible, her victory.

Many speculated after the loss to Holm that maybe Rousey wouldn't return at all. But the MMA fighter says that couldn't be further from the truth.

"Of course (I'll fight again)," Rousey said. "What else am I going to f**king do?"
