More and more people are getting hooked to K-pop. Each group has their own fandom, and Sones identify themselves as the loyal followers of Girl's Generation소녀시대; So Nyeo Shi Dae. Every Sone member will agree that the saddest day of their favorite group would have to be the day Jessica Jung announced that she was "forced out" of the K-pop idol group. Jessica's music career has been put on hold ever since the day of the announcement leaving her no choice but to part ways with her music company, SM Town Entertainment.
Fortunately, Jessica has found a way to continue her life after Girl's Generation through fashion, both in modeling and launching her own clothing line, Blanc & Eclare. What happened at the time hastened the plans to materialize quicker than expected. Still K-pop fans, especially the Sones, pray that Jessica will still continue her music career. And their prayers have been answered. Jessica herself was she one who announced that she is currently working on her solo album.
The news about Jung's current solo music journey was first mentioned in High Cut, a Korean magazine, as reported by Korean news outlet Nate. During the interview, Jessica clarified where she is in her music career.
The last song Jessica officially sang as part of the group was "Divine", which was included in Girl's Generation's repackaged version of their first Japanese greatest hits album, The Best. Jessica's other song, "Catch Me If You Can" was changed along with the music video (which is shown above) when she departed the group.
The announcement Jessica made only validate the rumor that she was trying to seek a solo career. The rumor started in February this year when Jung uploaded a picture of herself, sitting in a recording studio on her official Instagram page, which was taken down since the rumor broke.
