Thom Yorke Performed Two New Radiohead Songs in Paris?

On Friday, at the Pathway to Paris concert, the English musician who is famous as the lead singer and the songwriter of the alternative rock band Radiohead - Thom Yorke, performed a pair of new songs, "Silent Spring" and "Desert Island Disk,"  and the Pathway to Paris concert coincided with the French capital's climate conferences.

The songs Thom Yorke performed, are the first new tracks from the lead singer of Radiohead since his 2014 solo LP - Tomorrow's Modern Boxes, as well as a possible preview of what the English rock band Radiohead has in store for the follow-up to 2011 album The King of Limbs - with songs like 'Bloom' and 'Morning Mr Magpie'.

At one point during the performance of Thom Yorke in Paris, the singer paused before saying, "This is Jonny's bit," a nod to Jonny Greenwood (English musician best known as the guitarist of the rock band Radiohead) and an indirect indication that "Silent Spring" is a song destined for the Radiohead's next album.

The title of the two new songs was confirmed in a set list taped to the stage during Thom Yorke's performance.  In addition to Thom Yorke's two new songs, Yorke also performed a reworked version of the track - "The Present Tense," a  song which is still unreleased, which first emerged during the band's sound check in 2008, but the song has since made rare appearances at both Atoms for Peace and Thom Yorke's solo shows.

The Atoms for Peace band consists of Radiohead singer Thom Yorke (vocals and guitar), Flea of Red Hot Chili Peppers on bass, producer of Radiohead band Nigel Godrich on keyboards, Joey Waronker of Beck and R.E.M. on drums.

In conclusion to the first Pathway to Paris concert, Thom Yorke and the Australian-born, American musician - Flea, joined Patti Smith (American singer-songwriter, poet and visual artist) and the rest of the event's artists onstage to perform Patti Smith's song - "People Have the Power."
