Ryan Gosling is excited to celebrate Christmas with his daughter with long-time girlfriend Eva Mendes.
Us Magazine reports the 35-year-old actor opened up to Hello Magazine about how the couple is looking forward to experiencing the holidays as first time parents to their one-year-old daughter Esmeralda.
"This will be our first Christmas where [Esmeralda is] sort of taking it all in, so that's exciting," Gosling said about their adorable baby whom they welcomed in September last year.
The Big Short actor added that being a father has been quite easy for him, too. "[It's] not rocket science," he said.
Thanks to his 41-year-old parenting teammate whom he can't stop gushing about.
I know that I'm with the person I'm supposed to be with," he said, adding that the only criteria he's looking for a woman is "that she's Eva Mendes. There's nothing else I'm looking for."
While the private couple just celebrated Esmeralda's first birthday in a very intimate party three months ago, OK! Magazine reports they are planning to give her a sibling already.
"[Ryan] loves the idea of another baby and says their relationship was at its happiest when Eva was pregnant," a source told the magazine.
But the source adds it's apparently for the wrong reasons.
"They're amicable in front of Esmeralda. But once she's tucked into bed, the tensions surface. They spend all their time either arguing or in complete silence," the source revealed. "Of course, their friends and family are worried they're rushing into this for the wrong reason, but they both have this belief that it's the best way to get their romance back on track."
The insider added "they have too much to lose at this point by calling it off, and despite all their problems they do still love each other."
