Gwen Stefani On Being Grateful After Divorce and On Feeling Horrible About Songwriting

After the massive and painful divorce that singer Gwen Stefani went through this year, she said that she is grateful for being surrounded by the right people while she was at it. Christian Today published that she may not specify who those are, but her new man and colleague Blake Shelton is no doubt a part of that.

In an interview with the morning show called 'Karson & Kennedy,' the punk rock singer revealed, "It feels like I've been in this cocoon and I've been ready to bust out, for many reasons. And there's been loads of people around me who have come to help and make me feel like a new person and uplift me."

She added, "There's... incredible friends who have gone through similar things at the same time. It's incredible how God works and places people to help you through tough times."

She was married for 13 years with singer Gavin Rossdale and she admitted that her focus on her career went dwindling. After the split, she realized that it is about time that she goes back out there doing what she does best and it is music.

When it comes to songwriting, she felt like it was more of an obligation before than doing it out of passion to the point that her experience with it was horrible. Hopefully, her attitude towards it would change now that she is in a new chapter of her life.

She was also seen by The Daily Mail as published by Christian Today to be attending church again with her children and it would appear that she is getting back to her spiritual side as well. Her children are also following her footsteps with regards to her faith in God that her son Kingston would even pray that she has another baby.
