Last month, the world was shocked and terrified to see that one of the biggest cities in the west (and the world) was attacked on six different fronts by terrorist group ISIS, including a concert venue hall, the Bataclan theater, where Eagles of Death Metal were playing - now, nearly a month after the Paris attacks, they'll return to the city's stage to join U2's Paris concerts.
As it was reported at the time, the band led by Bono and The Edge was scheduled to perform in the French capital the day after the attacks happened, but was forced to reschedule their appearance to next Sunday after the events - now, as the two remaining U2 Paris concerts happen, they're bringing along the band playing in the largest attack.
According to The Guardian, California-based band Eagles of Death Metal will join U2's Paris concert, playing the last song along with them to show support for the city and what the French have gone through in the past month.
Variety reports that the remaining two U2 Paris concerts will happen in the city's AccorHotels Arena on Sunday and Monday, the same place where they were scheduled to appear on November 14.
According to Billboard, it's still unclear whether the Eagles of Death Metal will be performing on U2's Paris concert on Sunday, Monday or both nights.
"So much that was taken from Paris on the tragic night of November 13th is irreplaceable. For one night, the killers took lives, took music, took peace of mind - but they couldn't steal the spirit of that city," said frontman Bono in a statement announcing the new U2 Paris dates. "It's a spirit our band knows well and will try to serve when we return for the postponed shows on December 6th and 7th. We're going to put on our best for Paris."
