Christina Milian Defends Her Daughter's Odd Locks After Being Bashed on Social Media

34-year-old singer and actress Christina Milian has been under the public's scrutiny lately following her recent split with rapper Lil Wayne that even her positive actions such as bringing her daughter to a World AIDS day function did not turned out well for fans and over social media.

The backlash on the actress started out Wednesday when she shared her instagram post with her daughter Violet Nash, aged 5 in an "outrageous" waist-length purple braids accented by a flower, posing along with Zendaya during the World AIDS Day Benefit, Atlanta Daily World Reports.

The photo was captioned:

"It's official. I'm a #1 Mom in my daughters eyes!  Last night I was fortunate enough to bring my baby girl @VioletMadison to meet Zendaya at the#InauguralWorldAIDSDayBenefit. You can't imagine how much it made her day. Plus she got to see how her selflessness, positive attitude and hard work can help inspire and heal the world. Kudos to you#Zendaya & Your sweet parents. You are a great young lady and I'm happy my daughter has someone to look up to like yourself. Thank you. And she loved V's hair."

What she thought of was something to be proud and glad about did not turn out well for people in social media- she was even called the worst mom, like her daughters hair has something to do with her parenting style.

In a post by @bellaluvsky, she said Tina was "officially the worst mom ever". @jaybrii commented why the singer would do that to her daughter, while @yungchina_ said, "Christina you dead wrong mama."

The mom in distress immediately responded amid the criticisms on her little one's unique hair:

"For those of you more concerned with Violet's hair (understandably cause you just don't know) her hair isn't in the twists, it's another method used where they are tied into her corn rows. The hair isn't heavy. If you've ever grabbed a bag of afri braiding hair you know they are very light weight. But just trying new things. Violet likes it and it's not damaging. Xo"

As for the haters, parents indeed know better.
