BIG BANG and EXO Big Winners at the Recently Concluded MAMA 2015 in Hong Kong [VIDEO]

Korean culture has indeed spread globally as people everywhere in the world are aware what the culture is about, the country, the people, the food, fashion and of course music. It's a yearly tradition for these K-pop artists to gather in Hong Kong for the most anticipated Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA). This year was the battle of boy bands, according to CRI English article as the top two group battle for the most coveted awards.

South Korean boy band, Big Bang, considered as the veteran in the business, the group composed of five members still came out with the best performance as expected. The group composed of Leader G-Dragon and members, T.O.P, Seungri, Taeyang and Daesung bagged the biggest award of the night which is Artist of the Year and 3 more awards for Worldwide Favorite Artist, Song of the Year, and Best Music Video.

Big Bang Member T.O.P was too excited and happy about the awards that he thank everyone, in every language that he knows. Band mate Taeyang expressed how much this award means to the group. He said that over the past years they have received many awards with the support of their fans. However, he said that MAMA will always be special would always be their finale for the year. He added that they will continue to their best with a lot of gratitude for the awards they have won.

As a treat to their fans, Big Bang performed a 3 song repertoire while their fans and other artists enjoy their most anticipated world-class performance.

EXO also took home 4 awards that same night was as thankful as Big Bang. The group took home the Album of the Year, Best Male Group, Best Asian Style, and Global Fans Choice for Male artists. EXO is composed of 12 members gave out an outstanding performance as well.

MAMA started as a music festival and later became to a music show. The show is produced by a South Korean music television channel. The winners are chosen by a panel of industry experts while some categories are voted on by fans online. The organizers have taken MAMA to different Asian cities such as Macau, Singapore, and Hong Kong.
