Beth Howard Pie [VIDEO TED TALK] ‘The World Needs More Pie’ Pie Lady Has Made Of Each Slice Her Life

Beth Howard Pie - Who doesn't love Pie? Seriously, it's good, it's tasty and it's fun. So, it is no wonder that Beth Howard basically left everything, being a successful TV Producer and journalist to bake nothing more and nothing less than delicious pies!

Beth Howard's pie production can be followed and read about in The World Needs More Pie blog and webpage, in which she has a segment dedicated to most things, like her life, TV Show idea she had for a Pie program, Pie books, Pie selling and Pie classes.

Beth Howard started with pies in the 1990's when one day she entered a Malibu store, asked for a piece of pie and they couldn't give her at the moment because they were 'hands-full' with work and so she offered to bake pies for them.

In there, it turned out that lots of stars came to get pie and she got to serve Barbra Streisand, who loved lemon meringue and Steven Spielberg, who loved coconut cream, among other people who visited.

So, that was the beginning for Beth Howard, 'The Pie Lady.' Not everything was amazing, though. In 2003, she left for Germany to get married and in 2009 her sweetheart passed away. She did canalize it in a book she wrote called Making Piece: A Memoir Of Love, Loss And Pie, which actually became a bestseller after being sold in Amazon, and can still be found there, actually.

Afterwards, in 2010 she moved to the American Gothic House, which is a tourist attraction in which the painter Grant Wood made American Gothic. She stayed there for four years and has left now in Sept. She has said, "There should be a statute of limitations for how long one can live in a tourist attraction. I missed having some privacy." I can imagine so.

So now, the only question is what will Beth Howard, The Pie Lady, do and where will her journey to make everyone happy with a huge pie end at?

At the moment, here we share the TED talk she gave in January this year.
