The British Dietetic Association lists down the 5 worst celebrities' diets to educate people on how to lose weight in a healthy way, the Irish Examiner reported.
No Sugar Diet. Tom Hanks and Alec Baldwin are among of the famous celebrities who are following this diet. According to BDA cutting or reducing the amount of sugar from your diet is definitely "positive." However, practicing this type of course is nearly impossible as it would only mean you need to eliminate the group of healthy food from your diet such as vegetables, fruits and dairy. The agency also said that following this diet could only mean using substitutes products like the palm sugar or maple syrup but these are just "free sugars in another form and a huge contradiction."
The all-kale and chewing gum diet. Jake Gyllenhaal reportedly followed this diet to lose a lot of weight for a particular movie role. However, according to the agency, eating kale all day and nothing else and chewing gum is totally unhealthy. They said there's no such thing as "super foods" that can provide all the nutrients that a human body needs. BDA said eating kale alone all day and nothing else could only create a problem as it would only imbalance your diet.
Bulletproof diet. This diet is behind Harry Styles and Shailene Woodley's dramatic weight loss. This type of diet includes a daily consumption of "Bulletproof coffee," a mixture of black coffee, butter and MCT oil. However, the agency said all of the nutrients that the human body needs can be obtained from healthy food and drinks. They said you cannot get all the nutrients you need from one beverage that has over 400 calories.
The Super Elixir. Elle MacPherson is the creator of this product. This product is a food supplement in a form of a green powder that can help in weight loss. But for the agency, spending a hefty amount of money just to lose weight is unnecessary. They said if you want to lose weight and have a balance diet just eat healthy food.
Trim Secrets. Baroness Michelle Mone established this diet product with a Scottish naturopath. The diet pill allegedly works best when combined with their recommended diet plan. However, according to BDA an individual can easily lose weight even if they don't take the diet product. They said people just need to consume the recommended 1500 calories daily to lose weight in a healthy way. The agency also advised "Beware of pills and potions and make sure you know exactly what you are buying and taking."
