There are a million scents people can get hooked on. Whether you're a man or a woman, you'll always be guaranteed that something out there is for you.
The world famous brand Calvin Klein has just released the first ever "gender-free" fragrance. Yes, you heard that right. Not unisex. Not gender-neutral. Gender-free. The company is catering to what one New York Times commenter would call a "gender-free" world.
Calvin Klein invented and released the world famous unisex fragrance, the CK One in 1994. It was an iconic and tremendously popular fragrance that was a mixture of a citrus-y and beach-y scent. These scents are widely popular for men and women.
CK2 is considered the follow-up to that. The new fragrance comes in a pill-shaped bottle and is expected to have that challenging, elusive, and highly lucrative demographic known as "millenials." CK2 honors the thought that not all relationship needs labels. The goal is to appeal to today's younger generation who is known to give importance to authenticity and fluidity in their lives. And that is why the market that was chosen for this is for people of all gender identities.
There is nothing that suggests masculinity and femininity in its core concept, wasabi, florals, wood blends and wet cobblestones.
The accompanying advertisement is just as everybody expected it to be. It's as progressive and provocative as most Calvin Klein's campaigns. It gave the spotlight to a biracial couple, a same-sex couple, and two women flashing on the highway.

Critics doubt if this has the ability to perfect diversity? Well, there's nothing wrong with trying. Chemically speaking, there are no defining factors to define what masculine and feminine scents are, it's all in the matter of how it is advertised.
