A new start-up company called Humai plans to bring people back from the dead using artificial intelligence (AI) technology. They plan to embed personalities into chips and sensors in an artificial body.
Most technology companies like Google are finding ways on how to extend life, however, Humai, a Los Angeles firm, wants to take the idea to the next level by creating a technology that can resurrect people back from the dead and keep them alive forever. Although the technical details are not entirely available, the whole concept sounds like one taken from a Sci-Fi movie.
According to Humai founder Josh Bocanegra, the whole business concept is being seriously taken amidst speculations of many experts that it is a hoax. He plans to complete the technology by the next three decades making it available by 2040.
"Yes, it's super ambitious, but that's the reason why I'm excited to work on it," he said. "As an innovator, big ideas have always been my core motivation. Humai is obviously not monetary incentive - at least not anytime soon. This is a project I care deeply about and I only hope to contribute to making an impact on humanity."
And the company's mission statement couldn't be more straightforward: "We want to bring you back to life after you die."
As reported by Oddity Central, AI and nanotechnology can be used to store data of conversational styles, behavioural patterns, thought processes and information on how an individual's body functions both in and out. This data will then be coded into multiple sensors built into an artificial body that is powered by a brain of real dead human. Using cloning nanotechnology, the company will restore the brain as it matures so it can always be resurrected. This way, a person may live forever.
The company plans to freeze its clients' brains until the technology is fully developed. Then it will be implanted to an artificial body. The body will be controlled by the person's brain waves similar to how prosthetics are controlled nowadays.
However many experts are not entirely sold with the idea of longevity. They said that nanotechnology is just a buzzword and human life will always have an expiry date despite advances in technology and genetics. There's no technology that can extract data from an organ made of living tissues and the head cannot be connected as simple as plugging the like USB. This technology is too good to be true they say.
To judge for your self, you may visit their website and proceed with caution. Many experts believe that it may be a way to rob people although Bocanegra doesn't appear to be collecting any cash yet.
