Walmart Dress Code Workers - Walmart will be having a new dress code for their workers from Sept. 29th. They have been warned and the workers do not agree one bit with the new regulation.
Walmart always seems to be on the spotlight one way or another. This time it's due to a new dress code that will become effective soon and the workers far from being happy about it, feel the absolute contrary.
The guidelines for the dress code that the workers will have to wear in Walmart include: a white or blue shirt and black or khaki pants, with a Walmart vest that the company will provide.
The good part is that if any of the workers already have any of these clothes, they can wear it. The bad part is that if they do not, then they have to pay it out of their own pockets, The Huffington Post noted.
The new dress code for Walmart workers has done nothing more than provoke controversy. The truth is that the minimum wage doesn't allow too many commodities or benefits for the workers in Walmart, so expecting them to buy the uniforms causes nothing more than rage and incredulity.
The average wage the workers make is of $13 dollars an hour and the shirts start at $7 dollars which is not much, but that multiplied by a pant later on and more than one shirt actually would make the person to spend from $50 to $60 dollars approximately.
A worker has said about it: "this is more a financial burden to my family since this is our only source of income with my wife and two kids."
Another detail is that the workers of Walmart do not only complain about spending money with the new dress code but they do not understand the need for a new dress code. They already have a uniform and it looks fine, so they can't see why it would be needed to change it.
All these details will have to be analyzed by the company and see if the new dress code in Walmart changes once again for the workers and finds an agreement between the two parts.
