Food Banks In Wisconsin Are About To Be Bankrupt This Christmas Because of Scott Walker

People in Wisconsin are upset about their state governor, Scott Walker for being responsible in the new state budget that would make food banks and soup kitchen bankrupt and unable to feed the less fortunate this Christmas season. It is all because of this new law that a lot of people are thinking he was behind, which then affects a lot of people who can't afford a decent meal.

In an article written by Esquire, they indicated that Walker is someone who was hired by Koch Industries to manage subsidiaries in his area of responsibility.

Going back to this new law, it is regarding a budget dated from 2013 to this year that would only be for people who can't really afford food. If the state finds a person who is completely able to work, who is single and has a place to stay, then they can be part of the food program called FoodShare. They are however, required to be employed in a job that would get them paid for doing at least 80 hours of work per month. If they are not employed with those conditions, then they should at least be in the process of looking for a job. If these things were not met, they can't be part of the program.

This new law started in April of this year and right in the middle of 2015, about 25% of people who are going for this program were kicked out. There are people who found their jobs through the program that FoodShare offered as well and those were lucky enough to avail 3 months of the food program's benefits, but after that, they are also kicked out.

Soup kitchens and food banks thought it was unfair and it is something that would bankrupt their organization.
