What to Expect with 'Half Life 3' [Release Date, Gameplay, Rumors]

"Half Life 3" developers still haven't released any details surrounding the video game series, prompting fans to speculate amongst themselves, with some even claiming that the game will not be made at all.

Followers of "Half Life 3" have long been patiently waiting for its release. However, its publisher, Valve, has reportedly kept any detail, even a minute one, tightly under wraps.

According to MNR, because of "Half Life 3's" current situation, followers were forced to rely on rumors, some of them claiming to be backed up by reliable sources, according to Vine Report.

Meanwhile, an email from original game writer Marc Laidlaw was reportedly posted via news aggregator Reddit. The email is Laidlaw's answer to a fan asking him about the current rumors.

"I can't comment on Valve's internal process but it sounds like someone is trolling. Anonymous sources have been posting speculation masquerading as inside knowledge since the 'Half-Life 1' delay in 1997," Laidlaw answered.

"If it's any comfort, please rest assured that in my experience at Valve, fear is the last thing that would ever drive a decision about what to work on," he continued.

"Half Life" has long been a game that has been in a rut for quite a while. However, these kinds of video games are also the ones where speculations are constantly surrounding it. According to the latest "Half Life" rumors, the game is to be released soon and will be based on some "DOTA 2" text files.

However, Forbes recently reported that Valve is now thinking twice about releasing a new version of the survival first-person shooter game, especially following the massive backlash with the release of "Mass Effect 3." This could mean that the idea of "Half Life 3" could have been dismissed by Valve entirely and that a new and more profitable game could be in the works.
