Postpartum disorder is usually taken for granted as it is often mistaken for a regular hormonal imbalance. It is however something more serious. As per Web Md, it normally occurs after a woman would give birth which involves a strong feeling of sadness, anxiety, and hopelessness. It is often temporary and it only affects individuals who underwent pregnancy and child birth. Its mild effects would normally affect 80% of women after childbirth. It usually lingers for a couple of weeks or even months without proper treatment.
It can usually be managed, but numerous mental health facilities offer rehabilitation for woman being affected by postpartum disorder.
As per US Weekly, after giving birth to her first child Kaya, Hayden Panettiere suffered from postpartum depression, which pushed her to take a break from Nashville.
In a statement that was released last October 13, it stated that she is seeking professional help to get through her condition.
"Hayden Panettiere is voluntarily seeking professional help at a treatment center as she is currently battling postpartum depression. She asks that the media respect her privacy during this time."
During an interview on Live! With Kelly and Michael last September , she stated that:
"I can very much relate. It's something a lot of women experience. When [you're told] about postpartum depression you think it's 'I feel negative feelings towards my child, I want to injure or hurt my child.' I've never, ever had those feelings, some women do. But you don't realize how broad of a spectrum you can really experience that on. It's something that needs to be talked about. Women need to know that they're not alone, and that it does heal."
Us Weekly then made a following report stating that Hayden is already doing great.
An insider openly shared that: "She's doing great!, she's doing really good now."
