Windows 10 Lumia 950, The Ultimate Mobile Phone

One small step for Smartphones, One Giant Leap for Windows Mobile.

Microsoft is ready to make a fresh start with a new phone, after several attempts. While windows phone 8 and 8.1 are like clones from the desktop versions, the Windows 10 mobile will be more substantial. This mobile phone can mimic what your desktop or laptop computer does. It can be possible now to connect a keyboard, mouse and a display and let you operate universal apps like word and outlook and not just browse through emails and rough drafts. Now with the Windows 10 mobile version you will be able to do what you do in your computer.

This mobile phone Lumia 950 really isn't of an eye candy but if you look under the hood and check the specs, your mouth will definitely water if you are a techie.

A 5-megapixel front camera and an easy-to-miss sensor meant to identify your eyes, and with that a pocket-friendly 5.2-inch WQHD AMOLED display. The 950's backside is interesting aside from the metallic Windows logo. Above and beyond that lies a tri-tone flash that has a better way to capture natural colors, a single speaker and a 20-megapixel camera sitting between the two.

If it were an Android phone it would definitely be in the upper-middle class. The 950's has a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 chipset at 1.8 GHz and 3GB RAM. The sister version of the 950 is the XL that comes with a bigger screen and an even more powerful processor, but there's more making Windows run smoothly than just pure power. Windows Mobile Phones have been operating smoothly even on weak hardware.

Under that removable polycarbonate back sits a removable 3,000mAh battery that plays nice with the Qi wireless charging standard. The phone has a dual-sim capability, a nanoSIM slot and an almost invisible microSD slot just under that. But you might now need to add some more storage since it will have about 32 GB of internal storage. Then again the more space you have the more things you can do with your phone. The Lumia 950, which are liquid-cooled, also uses a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer.
