Sony PS4 Soon to Make Cross Platform Gaming Possible

PS4 user will soon get to stream games to their Windows and Mac PCs. Ever since Sony released the PlayStation 4 game streaming isn't possible until now. The Playstation®4 system opens new doors to and incredible journey that will allow gamers to intensely immerse themselves in game play as well as be connected to the gaming community.

And as of Friday the company's president Shuhei Yoshida, tweeted that they are currently working on a PS4 Remote Play app for the PC and Mac. It will allow users to stream games.  And the tweet states

"Some people asked if we plan to provide Remote Play function to PC, and yes, we are indeed working on an official application for PC/Mac,"

The Remote Play app is currently limited to various Sony devices, which includes the PlayStation Vita, PlayStation TV and newer models of Xperia-branded Smartphones tablets, and Phablets. All new Ps4 Games except for games that use PlayStation move must be compatible.

While owning a PS4 gaming console will still be required to play certain games like Fallout 4 or Destiny on a Mac or PC, the expanded Remote Play app will move Sony games one step closer to true cross-platform playability.

For those  people who have no idea what video game streaming is Streaming  games is the transmitting a video game to a computer or mobile device as required in lieu of downloading and installing the entire game. An advantage of streaming games is that the game can be picked up on another device and continued at the place the gamer stopped. You can play anytime anywhere provided you have the device

Sony hopes that releasing this application will get them up to speed with Microsoft and Xbox One which have already released there streaming feature for windows 10.
