Rapper Lil Boosie Reveals Cancer Through Instagram Post

Rapper Lil Boosie/Boosie Badazz, real name Torrence Hatch, sadly revealed that he was diagnosed with kidney cancer. He took to the app instagram to share his newest battle in life, following his release from prison just last year after serving five years charge of third degree marijuana possession.

Only 33 years old, Hatch has been living with diabetes for years. In his post, he wrote the words; "I need all my fans to pray for me Doctor just told me I have cancer on my kidneys prayer is power that's why I'm letting the world know prayfaboosie" along with a photograph of him having a meal. The said photo can still be viewed on his instagram account, but the caption that caught some of his loved-ones off guard has been removed. According to TMZ, Hatch's team was not pleased with his post.

Just days before revealing his diagnosis, Lil Boosie was put into hot seat for commenting homophobic remarks on instagram, with regards to him being confronted with 'gay' story lines whenever he turns on the TV, mentioning specifically FOX's Empire and VH1's Love and Hip-Hop, as reported by UPROXX. The rapper's rather lengthy expression of his thoughts offended a lot of people and had since been deleted.

While the rapper was still in Louisiana State Penitentiary, he never took the time off in trying to keep his art alive and has reportedly written more than 1,000 songs despite being locked up. There had been speculations that he even made a song about Justin Bieber. Whether it's of the negative or positive connotation is still yet to be confirmed by Hatch himself, especially if it is actually true that he did.

In January 2013, while locked up, he stated that he felt that he was making the best music he has ever made and the more he goes through in life, the better his music gets. #prayfaboosie
