Looks like Fox Network is about to have a new 'Glee' and this time, is called 'Grease: Live.' For those who are not aware, it is actually a remake of the hit musical film starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John. It is star studded cast since Vanessa Hudgens, Julianne Hough and Carly Rae Jepsen are part of it.
Variety shared the photos that the network released for viewers to have a sneak peak on the cast and their respective roles. The official release of their first promo video is scheduled next week, Tuesday, in between the episode of 'Scream Queens.' By the way, the video that they are about to show involves a live production.
In the original movie, the main characters are Danny and Sandy who are in love. Now that it is on TV, Julianne Hough will play the lead role of Sandy, while Arron Tveit takes on the role of Danny. Hudgens will play as Rizzo and Jepsen will be Frenchy. There are other huge celebrities on the show, which makes it even more exciting.
Us Magazine also featured the upcoming musical with the teaser video showing off some of the cast's hand jiving skills. They look like they are having fun and their costumes are amazing. The video was shot in a school setting with school lockers involved. They all looked like they were dressed for the 80s from their big hair, outfit and makeup. It is no doubt that this would be an exciting one after the network cancelled 'Glee.'
There's kind of a pattern on their title, but hopefully this one stays longer than 'Glee.' The photos look like the word Hollywood was written all over it. So, to all music and Broadway fans, stay tuned as this show premieres on January 31.
