The war against Iraq is a never ending one. It transforms into different zones of attack, but the issue is always the same. And $7.5 million dollars go every single day to that.
USA has been with territorial issues of oil with Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran and Iraq for years now. There is even a recent movie, "Zero Dark Thirty" (2012) which tells the story of the search for Bin Laden for over ten years. Bin Laden might seem like an old issue now, but he's not.
The truth is that the search for different causes to be in a constant war has never disappeared.
The attacks to Iraq have begun officially in June, now being in August, which would form a time estimation of about two months and a half.
In Washington, where the Pentagon is situated and the U.S. Military operations take place, they made the estimation of the $7.5 million per day as means of cost to be in the Iraq area.
That would state that up to the moment more than half a billion dollars have been dedicated to this issue. And it doesn't seem like the war is going to finish any time soon.
The spending reasons include fuel for aircrafts, the buying of missiles and payment of constant personnel that is staying there.
The Pentagon's Press Secretary, John Kirby, has stated that "the cost has risen as the activities increase." He was also the one who gave the actual numbers of cost for these operations.
The real question on everyone's mind is not a difficult one nor an unsustain one either: is this cost worth it?
The Pentagon is not worried, though. They have an estimated quantity of $80 billion dollars for war related issues, so up the moment; Kirby has stated that they are "well within the limits."
