It is every man's dream to live in a place filled with women. Some may even wonder if such places do exist. The good news is it does exist. It is in Brazil, that can be found in the town of Noiva do Cordeiro.
Novo do Cordeiro is a town outside Belo Horizante. The population in this town is almost entirely women - at least 600 of them. The women are between the ages of 20 to 25. According to Yahoo News, "sons are sent away at 18, and spouses are banned from the town except on weekends."
Women from Novo do Cordeiro are making an appeal to all single men out there to please come to their cozy little town. But there's a catch, you need to follow all their rules. In this town, women make the rules - from religion to farming. Remember, it's their town so it's their rules.
You might find this a bit odd but their decision to make women the ruler of their town is actually based on history. The town was founded by Maria Senhorinha de Lima. She was excommunicated after she left the man that she was forced to marry. She was charged with adultery. As time passes by, more and more families and single women joined her. By 1940's Anisio Pereira took a 16-year-old girl to be his wife and he established a church that impose very strict "puritanical rules." After Pereira died in 1995, the women vowed to never be under a male-dominant society.
According to the residents, they are still normal women. They want to experience falling in love and being loved and getting married someday. The women added that they love their town and they do not want to leave the lovely town of Novo do Cordeiro just to find a husband.
