The world was finally introduced to 'Jessica Jones' when the Netflix series premiered last week and there was no shortage of Marvel references and Easter Eggs in the show!
The Youtube channel Mr Sunday Movies has just taken the time to watch each and every episode of 'Jessica Jones' and came up with a video detailing all of the Easter Eggs and Marvel references that were hidden all over the show's first season.
There was no question that Jessica's comic book alter ego would be mentioned in the series, and it didn't take a lot of time for Trish Walker to try and convince her best friend to put on a strapless white suit. Jessica is simply not having any of it, but the reference is an awesome nod to fans of the 'Alias' comic book series.
Trish 'Patsy' Walker may not have much of her Hellcat superpowers in the show, but the character is revealed to be a martial artist. She's also not a natural blond, as there are several references to her being a redhead in the series, as Patsy was in the comic books.
Luke Cage may be much tougher in the 'Jessica Jones' TV series, but the show made sure that he retained his iconic catchphrase, which was used after he and Jessica sleep together: "Sweet Christmas."
There's a lot that was changed about the villain Kilgrave, who is also known as the Purple Man in the comic books. Although the TV show's version of the baddie does not have purple skin, he does seem to prefer wearing a lot of the clothes in that shade. At one point in the TV series, his power starts to get stronger and he somehow turns a little purplish.
There are so much more Marvel references and Easter Eggs in the video.
'Jessica Jones' stars Krysten Ritter, Mike Colter, Carrie-Anne Moss and David Tennant. The first season is currently available for streaming on Netflix.
