Study Shows Men Eat More On Dates To Impress A Woman

Men are really different from women. On dates, women would usually just eat salads or anything that's light, but not men. According to a recent study, men eat more food to actually impress their date.

In an article released by The Telegraph, they pointed out the research done by scientists at Cornell University. They used 133 adults where 74 of them were men. They found out that men eat a lot when they are around women and the food type wasn't really a big deal.

Although it is noteworthy to report that they discovered men consume more pizza when they are with a girl and they also dig in a lot of salad. But still, the percentage they take in when eating pizza is so much higher than when they are with just their men buddies.

The visiting assistant professor for the research as well as the main person handling the research, Kevin Kniffin, said that these whole statistics and study just indicated that men to show off while they are on a date.

In his interview with the LA Times, he said explained that, "Instead of a feat of strength, it's a feat of eating." It is surprising to find out that men think it's a way to impress women. It is like a message of them hinting their potential mate that they are awesome and they have some extraordinary skills. It is their way of showing how strong they are and how they could handle the relationship very well.

Kniffin further explained, "Conspicuous consumption of food is a much less dramatic 'risk' than, say, going off to the front lines of war, but research on the effects of obesity nonetheless show overeating to constitute risky behavior."
