Idris Elba is a father for the second time.
According to ABC News, the "Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom" actor welcomed a baby boy, named Winston, with girlfriend and make-up artist Naiyana Garth. Elba made the announcement via Twitter, along with a black and white picture of the baby's tiny hand gripping his finger.
"My Son Winston Elba was born yesterday..Truly Amazing :-)" the 41-year-old "Luther" actor tweeted Friday.
Elba said they have named their son Winston after his late father, who worked for the Ford motor company. This is the actor's second child. He has an 11-year-old daughter named Isan from a previous relationship.
In 2010, the actor told GQ magazine that he was tricked into believing that he fathered a son with another woman. Elba told the magazine that a paternity test revealed that the young boy was not his son.
"To be given that and then have it taken away so harshly was like taking a full-on punch in the face: POW," Elba said. "You know, the truth is-like, even admitting it, I'll probably get laughed at for the rest of my life. But it is just tragic, and it happened. But I wasn't knocked out. I stood right the f--k back up, and I ain't aiming to take another punch in the face ever again. Do you understand what I'm saying? It happened to me. I moved on."
