Victoria Beckham: You Don't Have to Be a Size Zero To be a Model, Just Be Healthy.

Being a model means a size zero? This is the common notion of every person in the fashion and modeling industry. Recently, there are many people who are starting to oppose to this idea and one of those is Victoria Beckham.

An article in Stuff NZ, said the singer-turned-fashion designer defended the feature of super skinny models and said that all women who work for her shows are healthy. Earlier this year, the former singer was under criticism after one of her slender model who wore her clothes for a runway show including Peyton Knight, a 17-year-old model who faced a lot of harsh comments over her body shape and size.

However, Beckham insisted that every model who works for her every show is completely checked to make sure they are healthy and not sick of underweight. She said that Peyton didn't only walk for her show. In fact there were other designers who booked her for their shows as well.

She added that her casting director spoke to modeling agencies and all the girls that they book for the shows are healthy. They are all young, thin but not sick. The fashion designer continued to insist that the criticism that Knight got was uncalled for and mean. She said that people are mean on social media and that it's a shame people have to think and be that way.

During the interview, she also talked about her schedule and how she juggles her busy career life and family time. She mentioned that in order for this to work, she and her husband David take turns looking after their children. It's a juggling act she added, but because they have good people around them and helping them everything is working out okay.

"They're [the family is] very supportive of what I do," she adds. "I don't really go away that much. David and I work it out so that we're not away at the same time, so one of us is always here [for the kids]. The other day we were at [daughter] Harper's school as she had won a prize, and we were both there.

Beckham admits she is very well organised, and has already planned her schedule for most of 2016: "I know what I'm doing this time next year."
