Miss Saigon Will Hit London Theaters Again In Spring 2017

Miss Saigon London revival will conquer Broadway in spring 2017. Performances will run less than a year scheduled up to January 15, 2018 before its U.S. national tour. Dates for the first performance and opening night will be released later.

After many gossips it is now confirmed that the show will be directed by Laurence Connor. London stars, Eva Noblezada , 19,  will play the character of Kim and John Briones as the Engineer.

West End production of Miss Saigon is planned to close at Prince Edward Theatre to create a way for Aladdin on February 27, 2016. Before showing to Germany, Australia, Asia and tour around U.K. Europe and Middle East, Miss Saigon will conquer Japan's theater in 2016.

Miss Saigon's production producer, Cameron Mackintosh said to The New York Times that he hopes to bring Hamilton to London in 2017 and Broadway revival of Cats remains in the works.

Other casts are Chris Peluso as Chris, Siobhan Dillon as Ellen, Hugh Maynard as John, Sangwoong Jo as Thuy and Natalie Mendoza as Gigi.

Miss Saigon 1975 is classic love story concerning the relationship between an American GI and a young Vietnamese woman.

The original production of Miss Saigon was played by Lea Salonga and Jonathan Pryce. Both of them won Tony Awards because of their spectacular performances.

It is almost 25 years after Miss Saigon first opened in New York. And it seems that the tragic love story was more related today with conflicts happening in Syria, Afghanistan and Iraq.

Cameron Mackintosh said: "Of all my shows, Miss Saigon is the one that I have received the most requests from the public to bring back, and I am thrilled that Broadway audiences will get to see this tremendous new production that audiences and critics in London have embraced since it opened last year. And I am delighted that our wonderful London stars, Jon Jon Briones and Eva Noblezada, will be bringing their stunning performances across the Atlantic."
