Jospeh Gordon-Levitt stars with Seth Rogen and Anthony Mackie in the new Christmas movie, The Night Before, and considering the movies with Seth Rogen in it, pot would surely play such a big role.
Entertainment Weekly reports Gordon-Levitt talked about smoking pot with Rogen at Jimmy Kimmel Live, which eventually made him learn one important lesson.
"Seth and I were in another movie called 50/50," he recalled of their first meeting. "Believe it or not he's actually a sharp and professional dude," he pointed out. "But after a couple of hours talking shop we did go up to the roof and smoked a joint," he continued.
"We're all throwing ideas in at the last minute, and there is definitely a joint being passed around the room early in the day," the 34-year-old actor said of the collaborative process of making their latest movie. "The first day I said like, 'Oh, I know how to smoke. I've smoked since I was a kid. I can do this, sure. Let's see! It'll inspire good comedy.'"
Then he admitted he realized what he did was only funny for him.
"So I decided to start smoking at the end of the day, after the work was done," Gordon-Levitt said.
The HitRecord creator has previously spoken about the benefits of smoking weed whenever he needs to be creative.
"When I smoke weed I'm more liable to make connections I wouldn't otherwise make," 'he explained. "Sometimes those connections are ludicrous. But sometimes they're great. You're like, 'Oh s---, I might not have thought of that,' and it actually makes sense in the morning."
But then again, the actor said there should be a proper time for that.
"Smoke at the end of the day, kids, wait until the day's work is done. Then enjoy your weed."
