Kirstie Alley has jumped on the Jenny Craig weight loss wagon again, according to People Magazine.
Seven years after parting ways with Jenny Craig People Magazine reported that the 63-year-old actress announced her renewed partnership with the weight loss company. Alley revealed to NBC's TODAY that while watching her sitcom, "Kirstie," she had a revelation and realized that she needed to shed a couple of pounds.
"I was good for a while and then I wasn't good, and the weight crept up," Alley told People. "Like I say in the ad, I'm not circus fat. I didn't hugely screw up. I didn't gain 75. I gained 30."
Alley has been open about her struggle to maintain a consistent weight. The actress began working with Jenny Craig in 2004 and after shedding 75 pounds due to Jenny Craig's food and fitness program, Alley and the company parted ways in 2007.
Now the actress is returning after putting on 30 lbs. in the last six months. She is once again the public face of Jenny Craig as she works to lose weight.
"I'm not like circus fat," she said in an ad, "I just wanna lose like 20 pounds."
In 2011, Alley lost 100 pounds on her own Organic Liaison weight-loss plan and by working out for "Dancing with the Stars," but the actress was unable to keep the weight off. Jenny Craig CEO Monty Sharma said in a statement that when Alley reached out for help, they "welcomed her with open arms."
She added that: "We hope that having Kirstie return as our ambassador will provide continued encouragement to our members who have also struggled with their own weight and are looking for a program that works."
Alley's Organic Liaison line, which is marketed to "help increase energy, promote relaxation, aid sleep, and cleanse your system," will also be sold at Jenny Craig centers.
She told People: "It's like being an athlete. No athlete is going to do well without having a coach. We have to equate that to life. Without a coach helping us along the way, I don't think someone can make it for the long haul."
Alley added: "I need to get myself to where I feel cocky again."
