Chicago Med Pilot Episode: New NBC Series Premieres

It is definitely another domination in the television world.

NBC launches another Chicago series with its latest material "Chicago Med" under the direction of Dick Wolf. He seems to have been enjoying his work on getting a Chicago franchise as he is also the man behind "Chicago Fire" and "Chicago P.D".

In comparison to Chicago Fire and Chicago P.D, reports say that Chicago Med scored higher during its opening day. While it's completely obvious how much Wolf likes to formulate television shows with plots coming from his unpredictable and innovative ideas, everybody is already on the lookout as to what's really in store in the new series on the following episodes of 'Chicago Med'.

As the show debuted on Tuesday, the pilot episode began with a ribbon-cutting event for a new emergency department at the Chicago Med. One of the characters immediately introduced in the new series is Dr. Connor played by Colin Donnel, a charming young man who's still on his way to fulfilling his new job at Chicago Med, but is already having a bit of adjustments as he introduces himself to his fellow colleagues.

What makes Chicago Med a bit more interesting is fact that it comes with different stories, adding that each patient has a story to tell, with some of them fortunate enough to live while others don't.

Besides that, the Chicago Med doctors and nurses will also have their stories too. Other main characters in the series are Dr. Will Halstead played by Nick Gehlfuss and Dr. Natalie Manning played by Torrey DeVitto.

Reports say that "Chicago Med" is almost similar to CBS's "Code Black", which reportedly goes head to head with the "Chicago P.D", airing every Wednesday night.

Among all the television drama series premiered this fall, Wolf's "Chicago Med" places fifth in the row, next to CBC's hit series "Supergirl", AMC's "Into the Badlands", NBC's "Blindspot" and Fox' "Rosewood".

"Chicago Med" airs every Tuesday at 9 PM on NBC.
