The ex-boyfriend of the Trinidadian-born American rapper and songwriter Nicki Minaj - Safaree Samuels (American rapper with a Jamaican background) is planning to file a multi-million lawsuit over royalties from Nicki Minaj's three albums.
According to what some say, Safaree Samuels, whose career started in the rap group Hoodstars, is set to institute legal proceedings against Nicki Minaj for what Safaree believes is his share of profits from Minaj's studio album - 'Pink Friday,' 'Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded,' and 'The Pinkprint,' as well as singles that includes 'Feeling Myself,' 'Only', and the remix of Nicki Minaj to Beyoncé's 'Flawless'.
Reportedly, Safaree Samuels (who is currently working on a mixtape titled It Is What It Is) is gearing up to present "a boatload of proof" that he was involved in Nicki Minaj's voice memos from recording sessions, her recording sessions including videos of him working with the singer, and hours of footage from the studio sessions.
Safaree Samuels also stated that he has a number of witnesses to validate his contribution to Minaj's work and Safaree claims that Nicki Minaj admitted the truth of his contribution by giving him an executive producer credit on Nicki Minaj's first two albums.
Meanwhile, Nicki Minaj recently defended herself from the criticism she received, after sharing a video in which the singer appeared to apprise a disabled person in a wheelchair to walk.
Nicki Minaj posted a video clip of herself laughing and pointing a wand at a disabled person in a mobility scooter before an individual saying "walk!" The singer was donned as a fairy godmother in the video clip which has now been deleted.
Media outlets claimed that the 'Super Bass' singer had been mocking a disabled person in the video, but, Nicki Minaj, whose debut studio album in 2010 - Pink Friday, peaked at number-one on the U.S. Billboard 2000, later took to social media to oppose these claims.
Minaj posted on her Twitter account, "Lol. That's NOT a disabled person and you know that. Are you that desperate for attention?"
