Five days after her shocking knockout defeat, everyone is still talking about how Ronda Rousey lost the UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion title to Holly Holm.
After her first ever loss, Ronda Rousey didn't head back to the United States immediately. In fact, she stayed in Melbourne overnight to get her lips stitched - and for observation, of course.
However, Ronda shocked everyone with the news that she would be taking a break before coming back into the ring. Her Instagram post a couple of days ago read:
"I just wanted to thank everyone for the love and support. I appreciate the concerns about my health, but I'm fine. As I had mentioned before, I'm going to take a little bit of time, but I'll be back."
With a message like that, rumors quickly started going around about a rematch between Ronda Rousey and Holly Holm. But E! News reports that it's still too early to say that there will be:
"[...] Could that mean a rematch with Holm? E! News has learned that it's too soon to say, but given the fighter's competitive nature it would make sense. Both Holm and UFC President Dana White have expressed that they would want it to happen, but it's entirely up to Rousey."
While no one wants to confirm any news yet, TMZ claims that Dana White confirmed: "There will absolutely be a rematch." It's just that no one knows when the rematch will actually be.
Ronda Rousey is currently facing criticisms after her second round knockout, and people claim she's not taking the loss too well either, even saying that she was depressed after the fight's results.
In fact, TMZ reported that Ronda Rousey was hiding her face from the public upon arriving in Los Angeles on Tuesday:
"Besides rocking a hood over her head, sunglasses on her eyes and draping her hair over her face ... Ronda also used a pillow to mask her mug as she walked through LAX."
Get well soon, Ronda!
