'The Flash' Season 2 Update: Grant Gustin Hints On A Possible Earth-2 Trip For Barry Allen [SPOILERS]

Since the premiere of the second season of 'The Flash,' the show has continuously hinted on the possibility that Earth-2 is just a quick trip away. After all, Jay Garrick, Harrison Wells, Dr. Light and even Zoom have had no problem paying Earth-1 a visit since the first episode. So it shouldn't be long until Barry Allen and the STAR Labs team decides to pay a visit to Earth-2, right?

Grant Gustin, who plays the Scarlet Speedster in the CW show, recently confirmed with EW that we might be seeing Earth-2 really soon.

"It sounds like we're going to be making an Earth-Two trip in the future at some point this season," Gustin admitted. "I don't know which characters are going to be going. I'm pretty sure Barry will be one of them."

But the big question is, will we finally be seeing the Earth-2 Barry Allen?

"I don't know if we're going to see his doppelgänger when we go over there," Gustin said. "I'd imagine we would."

There have been speculations that Zoom is actually Earth-2 Barry Allen gone insane from the experiments Earth-2 Harrison Wells made on him. However, the recent fight between the villain and Barry Allen in 'Enter Zoom' made it clear that the Speed Demon is a completely different creature.

In addition to the possibility of meeting the Earth-2 Barry Allen, a trip to a different dimension might also introduce a groovy Earth-2 Joe West.

"Earth-Two Joe might have a little musical element to him," Jesse L. Martin said about what his doppelgänger would be good at. This shouldn't be much of a stretch for the man who plays Joe West, since Jesse L. Martin happens to be an accomplished singer and theater actor.

Although it isn't clear whether a visit to Earth-2 will happen in the next episode, 'Legends of Today' will surely feature an appearance from Hawkgirl and Oliver Queen.

'Legends of Today' will air on the CW on December 1.
