With "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" and "Suicide Squad" well into post-production, now it's time for the following DC Cinematic Universe to start filming, as Gal Gadot reprises her role as undercover Amazon royal Diana Prince - and so "Wonder Woman" news keep popping up!
In the latest "Wonder Woman" news, "Star Trek" actor Chris Pine, who has been confirmed to star as Steve Trevor in the girl power film for months, has been spotted on set for the first time, as one of the film's co-stars posted a few snaps of the blond hottie in full costume from what appears to be a World War I scenario, which has prompted many questions.
As Cinema Blend reports, the "Wonder Woman" news showing Pine in a WWI costume has attracted a lot of attention due to the fact that it was believed the film is set on contemporary times, considering the first film from this universe, "Man of Steel," was set on modern day.
In more "Wonder Woman" news, sources close to the film's production recently revealed to Heroic Hollywood that Pine won't only be playing Trevor but also his grandfather in the upcoming film, which would explain his period clothing in the picture, which has since been deleted.
Apparently, the film somewhat honors its 1940s beginnings by having Steve Trevor's grandfather crashing on the Amazon island and meeting Diana, showing her the outside world and helping her defeat Ares only to pass away - so it'd make sense that she's attracted to his grandson later on.
According to Batman-News, the recent snaps were posted on Said Taghmaoui's Instagram, a French actor best known for his work in "American Hustle" and "The Missing," and as this "Wonder Woman" news sees the 35 year-old actor in an old costume, theories have started flying.
More "Wonder Woman" news will be coming soon!
