Syrian Refugees Are Banned In 27 States Of The US

After the recent terrorist attacks that happened in Paris, America is not welcoming Syrian refugees in 27 of its States. But there is no final decision yet because the federal government will be the one making the statement whether they can or they can't allow new Syrian refugees to enter their borders.

CNN reported that there are states who are in total disagreement in allowing refugees from Syria entry into their territory for national security. States like Alabama, Georgia, Texas, Maine and New Hampshire just to name a few are making a stand as early as now that Syrian refugees are not welcome in their place.

This decision from 27 states of the US came about after they learned that one of the suspects from the bombing and open firing in Paris was a Syrian refugee. The man however misrepresented himself and faked his way in entering Greece as a Syrian refugee named Ahmad al Muhammad. He was able to cross the border back in October.

CNN added that there are leaders saying that they will either completely not welcome Syrian refugees or they could do some background checks first before allowing them to be in the country.

There were 1,500 refugees from Syria that are already in America since 2011, however, Obama made a recent announcement that they will only accept 10,000 more in 2016.

The Paris attack with an alleged Syrian refugee involved indeed has put a huge threat as well to other countries that are helping out the refugees by admitting them to their territory. It has jeopardized the chance of many legit Syrians who are in need of refuge because countries, especially America are now doubting their identities. There are at least 250,000 of them now who are affected by the war and violence that is happening in Syria.
