After her huge success for belting her broken heart out in her 2011 album 21 and coming back with yet another melancholic single "Hello", Adele has revealed she could finally tell her muse she's moved on.
The Guardian reports that although the 27-year-old singer still have songs about her ex-boyfriend in her upcoming album 25, she's confident to say she's totally over him.
"It sounds obvious, but I think you only learn to love again when you fall in love again," the 10-time Grammy winner told The Guardian's Tom Lamont. "I'm in that place. My love is deep and true with my man, and that puts me in a position where I can finally reach out a hand to the ex. Let him know I'm over it."
Adele feels lucky now with her boyfriend since 2011, Simon Konecki, who doesn't mind her writing more songs about her previous flame.
"My man is loyal," she explained. "My man is strong. So we spoke early on, and he said, 'Your writing isn't anything to do with me.' He's fine with it. And it takes a strong man, I think, to be like that."
Adele also let Lamont listen to "Send My Love (to Your New Lover)," another ex-inspired song from her new album. "This is my f--- you song," she exclaimed.
When asked about what motivated her to come back, Adele says she has another guy that keeps her going. "Um. My son," she said. "I felt so mega having given birth; the confidence from that, I felt unstoppable. I'm sure most women feel that."
"Now everything I do, in every channel of my life, is part of a legacy that I'm making for my child. For my children, if I have more," she added. "I'm not motivated by much, certainly not by money - but I'm motivated by that. I want my child to see his mum running a proper business again. Being a boss again. Hopefully smashing it again."
Adele's new album 25 is set to be released on Friday, November 20.
