Alleged Telepathic Boy Tested by Scientists

Ramses Sanguino is no ordinary child.  At age five, he is displaying telepathic abilities as filmed by his mom.  He correctly recounted numbers that were written down out of his sight.  The video was posted online and attracted the attention of neuroscientists.  The five year old savant is now part of a cutting-edge telepathy study.

As reported in Oddity Central, Ramses has a high-functioning form of autism and has the ability to recite up to 38 numbers written without his knowledge.  His mother, Nyx Sanguino, insists that there was no trickery involved in any of the videos she made.  She felt that Ramses was special from the moment he was born.

"I knew even before he was born he was going to be someone special who would change the world," she said. "Even when he was a baby he didn't like toys, he just liked reading. He started reading when he was 12 months old and could even say words in English, Spanish, Greek, and some Japanese. When he was 18 months old he knew all the multiplication tables in English and Spanish and had learned the periodic table and all the atomic numbers."

Although some of this abilities are displayed by a few baby geniuses, his mother swears his son is different as she has no knowledge how he acquired some of the things he knew.

"I taught him some of the languages but I have no idea how he learned parts of Hindi, Arabic, or Hebrew by the time he was three. It may have been through the computer that is often left on."

Dr. Diane Powell, a former Harvard medical School faculty currently runs a private practice at Melford, Oregon has become fascinated with Ramses.  There are no scientific proof that telepathy is real however Dr. Powell believes if understood correctly, it can bridge the gap in communication between autistic children and their parents.

According to Dr. Powell, the youngster from Los Angeles, California is one of the top five savants in the world.  In the three meetings with Dr. Powell, he has been able to demonstrate a degree of telepathy.  He was able to correctly guess 16 out of 17 numbers that were hidden out of his sight and that includes a double digit number.

However, Nyx is concerned about finding the right school for Ramses.

"I put him into a school but it was a nightmare. He was the only child who could read in the class. The teacher liked him at first and called him the little professor. But soon Ramses started correcting her on some of her spelling and maths and the teacher began isolating him from other students. I had to take him out of the school and back home with me."

Nyx hopes that Dr. Powell's research could lead to a school for gifted autistic children like Ramses.  She hopes someday he can use his ability to change the world.
