Naughty Dog Says 'At Least One More' Game in the Works for PlayStation 4

Naughty Dog's first game for the PlayStation 4 isn't even out yet and they're already looking toward the future. The acclaimed video game developer behind the blockbuster Uncharted series told Finder that gamers can look forward to 'at least one' more game on Sony's current video game console.

When asked whether Naughty Dog's next project would make it to the current generation of gaming hardware, community strategist Arne Meyer replied:

"I would hope so. I would hope we would release a game pretty soon. Yeah, our development cycles aren't too long so and I have no idea how long this console generation really is going to last, but, yeah, there's no doubt it should be in this console generation for sure."

When asked flat out how many more games the company has planned for this iteration of consoles, Meyer said that "we have at least one, maybe two games left in the console generation, maybe more."

Naughty Dog's first 8th generation game, Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, was supposed to be released by now - but delays pushed the title's launch back to March 18, 2016.

Following that, not much is known about the company's future plans. Back in September, a developer at the company may have accidentally outed the existence of The Last of Us 2 during a livestream event with IGN. But that rumor was never addressed by Naughty Dog.

However given the game's huge fan base and widespread critical adoration, it wouldn't be a surprise if it was indeed in the pipeline.

If we do see more than one additional Naughty Dog title this generation, what would you want it to be? The company has a long history of great franchises too build on, or they could shock us with a completely new IP! For now, we'll have to wait and see.
