Nevada police wants prosecutors to charge the former professional basketball player who was a member of the Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association - Lamar Odom with illegal drug use, after Odom was found unconscious and bleeding from his nose in a legal whorehouse last month.
Angela A. Bello - Nye District Attorney, said in a statement on Monday, "The Nye County Sheriff's Office has now asked the D.A.'s office to review a request for prosecution against the former professional basketball player Lamar Odom." "The recommended charge is "use of, or under the influence of, a controlled substance."
Bello also pointed out that, "The District Attorney's office will take the time needed to suitably review that request, together with all the evidence that might support that request, in order to reach a just conclusion regarding whether to advance charges."
However, it has been firmly established by a police source that the blood testing of Lamar Odom (who won NBA championships in 2009 and 2010) came back dirty.
In a search warrant affidavit, one investigator stated that the prostitutes who found the player who was named the NBA Sixth Man of the Year in 2011 - Lamar Odom, almost dead inside his Love Ranch suite on October 13 - heard Lamar Odom snorting something inside an attached bathroom.
Michael Eisenloffel - Nye County Sheriff's Detective, said in his sworn testimony that, "Through interviews with the hookers who were with Lamar Odom since that point, it was learned that the professional basketball player Lamar Odom perhaps inhaled cocaine in the bathroom."
Michael Eisenloffel also said, as he referred to sex workers Monica Monroe and Ryder Cherry, "The prostitutes pointed out that they had an uncertain knowledge of Lamar Odom using illicit narcotics."
But, the investigator also said that, Lamar Odom (who played on the United States national team) was also spotted popping a mystery pill.
Lamar Odom's professional record, includes playing 14 seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for the L.A. Clippers, Los Angeles Lakers, Dallas Mavericks and Miami Heat.
