She's definitely single and it's something that Kate Hudson is not ashamed of talking about. After being frequently linked to the singer-songwriter Nick Jonas, Kate Hudson has shut down dating rumors and admits she's still enjoying herself outside of a relationship.
In the December 2015 issue of Harper's Bazaar, the 36-year old 'Good People' actress said, "It's nice to get acquainted with myself alone. You know, the goal when you get into a relationship is not to be out of the relationship."
She continued, "It's to try to stay in the relationship. But if it doesn't work, you can't force things.
As she sets aside being in a relationship for now, Hudson said that she feels really blessed to have her kids around her, adding that this is all she wants to keep in her life.
"It's good to take a second to make my life about getting myself centered, clearing the energy, no overlapping. I'm at that age now. I do feel very lucky." She said. "I've had my kids and my relationships."
She went on saying, "I've set my life down. I'm in my house, and I'm alone with my children, and I'm at peace. And that's really a nice feeling. All i really want in my life is to maintain that."
As the interview went on, the Mother's Day actress also did not miss sharing her past experiences and how much she had struggled to let go of her past relationships, though she knew they were 'not right' for her.
"If something's not right, I don't believe in maintaining something for the sake of what's considered a traditional family, because I believe that there are different ways to raise children." She explained. "It's far more effective to raise children in happy homes."
Hudson also shared what are her thoughts when it goes down to Hollywood marriages, saying "I always laugh when people go, 'Hollywood .. look at them.' I'm like, 'No, look at the world!' statistically it's tough out there, relationships have a fifty-fifty chance. The odds aren't great, you know?"
The now single mother called off her engagement with the Muse front man Matthew Bellamy in December last year. The former couple are parents to their 4-year old only child, Hawn Bellamy.
Hudson was also previously married to Black Crowes back in the year 2000, whom she has one son named Ryder. The ex-spouses divorced after six years of being together.
Harper's Bazaar December issue will be hitting newsstands beginning November 24, Tuesday.
