'Iron Man 4' Cast & Release Date: Marvel Giving 'Iron Man' A Break, No More Robert Downey Jr. Installments? -- What We Know So Far

Several reports claimed that Robert Downey Jr. is no longer going to reprise his iconic character as "Iron Man."

International Design Times reported that this is going to be a good opportunity for other actors to wear the Iron Man suit as the 50-year-old actor is seemingly not interested to star in the forthcoming installment.

Parent Herald revealed that Robert is asking for a $50 million salary increase for "Iron Man 4." The "Sherlock Holmes" star's demand was the main reason of the production's delay as he and Marvel were still under negotiations.

Robert is allegedly requesting for a percentage from the movie's profit instead of the usual fixed rate as he is sure that the installment will earn a lot. As a matter of fact, CrossMap informed that Marvel has a total of three new films slated for release in 2020 and "Iron Man" fans believe that the well-loved superhero will be included in the forthcoming titles.

"It is not a secret that Marvel is currently working on All-New, All-Different Marvel series, and when Marvel claims All-New and All-Different, they weren't kidding," the entertainment news outlet reported. "Comic Book Writer Brian Bendis has recently admitted that Mary Jane Watson is set to join Tony Stark's universe in an upcoming Iron Man comic book series titled, Invincible Iron Man."

Cinema Blend also shared that Harley Kenner from "Iron Man 3" might play the iconic role. To recall, he was the rural Tennessee who helped Tony Stark track down the Mandarin.

In fact, several reports said that the 13-year-old star might be the next titular superhero. Additionally, it was divulged that they are going to change the love interest of Tony Stark with a new expected character.

Brian Bendes also revealed that Mary Jane Watson will be joining the self-proclaimed genius, billionaire, playboy and philanthropist as his new love interest. The actress was also the leading lady of Spiderman.
