Adele 'When We Were Young: Singer Debuts First Listen Of New Song On 60 Minutes

Adele is preparing to release her third studio album, 25, which features the hit song “Hello.” However, in an upcoming 60 Minutes Australia special, the British singer performs another track off of the album called “When We Were Young.”

The 27-year-old British singer's first album in nearly five years, is being released on Friday. The only peek into the new album fans have seen is the emotional music video "Hello" — which dropped in October and broke the 24-Hour Vevo Record with 23.2 million views in a single day. But now, we have another opportunity to hear Adele's vocals

Adele and Tobias Jesso Jr. co-wrote "When We Were Young," with Ariel Rechtshaid producing the ballad. In her interview with Rolling Stone, Adele noted that the Elton John-ish ballad was her favorite on the album.

For the TV program, she belts out the soaring, smooth song in a studio with the assist of a full band and dynamic set of backing vocalists. "It was just like a movie / It was just like a song when we were young," she sings before giving a large smile at the end of her performance.

“When We Were Young” is another soulful ballad filled with the pieces of Adele’s broken heart. The performance is exclusive to 60 Minutes Australia, but will hopefully be published online shortly after the full interview airs.

The record-breaking singer sat down on the shot to discuss her music, struggles and personal life: "For the first time in my entire life I feel like I'm dealing with myself," she spills in a clip.

She also performed "When We Were Young" — a power-ballad and promising hit, which she sings with an effortless belt on the television special with lyrics like: "Let me photograph you in this light / In case it is the last time / That we might be exactly like we were / Before we realized."

The exclusive airs on 60 Minutes Australia on Sunday at 8:10pm. 25 will be released on November 20th.
