Adele's 21 Named Greatest Album Of All Time

She will definitely have more success to celebrate for this year. While Adele's new material 'Hello' from her latest album is still breaking records in the music charts, another success is added in the row after her previous album '21' has just been named as the 'Greatest Album Of All Time' by Billboard, according to reports.

Besides surpassing Michael Jackson, Adele also beats the legendary British band 'The Beatles' on the album charts. However, 'The Beatles' has been held as the top artist of all time.

The Grammy-award winning artist, who is set to debut her latest album '25' by the end of the week, was at the number 1 spot for 24 straight consecutive weeks with her second album, adding that the record-breaking material spent a total of 245 weeks on the Billboard charts since its release back in March 2011.

Aside from frequently topping the music charts, Adele's 21 has also secured a place in the top 10 for 78 consecutive weeks and has earned her the honor for having the most weeks in the number 1 for a female music artist.

"I'm just going to lay some concrete, set up home and just 'be' for a bit. I'll disappear and come back with a record [when it's] good enough. There will be no new music until it's good enough and until I'm ready." Adele told Billboard back in 2011.

The chart-topping singles included in the album are 'Someone Like You' and 'Rolling In The Deep', which were two of her tracks that earned her awards such as 'Album of the Year' and 'Best Pop Vocal Album Grammy' awards.

Following Adele on the Billboard's list was Julie Andrew's 'The Sound of Music', which has reportedly spent two weeks in the music charts and made it to the top 10 for 109 weeks, adding that the hit album is also celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.

Adele's latest album '25' of which her chart-topping single 'Hello' is set to be released on November 20, Friday.
