With Halloween weeks into the past, fast food chains all over the country are now focusing their attention on bringing back their favorite holiday flavors or even giving us brand new ones to fantasize about as winter draws nearer - including the new Dairy Queen Oreo flavor!
As if it wasn't amazing enough that a Dairy Queen Oreo flavor existed in the holidays, the chain is now mixing things up a little bit by combining this favorite item with another one of their classics, the Candy Cane Blizzard, for the best Christmas present the chain could possibly give the world.
As their press release on the Candy Cane OREO Blizzard Treat reveals (through a press release on Business Wire), the new Dairy Queen Oreo Christmas treat combines their two staple flavors by "turning milk and cookies upside down" for the 2015 holidays, in a limited-time offer - one that means Oreo cookie bits along with peppermint candy and mixed with vanilla, so it's not an offer to pass up on!
"We added some DQ innovation to all of the classic holiday flavor favorites and blended them into one treat that is so creamy we serve it upside down," said Barry Westrum, the chain's Executive Vice President of Marketing in their American fraction, speaking about the new Dairy Queen Oreo flavor, Restaurant News reports. "The tastes and textures of the Candy Cane OREO® Blizzard® Treat combine for a delight in every bite. This is true DQ 'Fannovation.' The best part is our fans can begin enjoying it right now."
The treat also comes in different types, as it can also be made into Dairy Queen Oreo cakes for special occasions during this holiday season and, according to Brand Eating, also available on waffles.
In any case, the 720-calorie new Dairy Queen Oreo is available now through the month of December - so don't forget to try it out!
